Tom Selleck Celebrates Big News with Family After Blue Bloods Ends!

Tom Selleck’s long-running journey with Blue Bloods came to a close on December 13 with the airing of the season finale, “End of Tour.” After 14 years and 14 seasons, the CBS crime procedural, which also starred Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Len Cariou, Will Estes, and others, became a staple in the network’s lineup, delivering strong ratings and a dedicated fan base.

In the wake of the show’s finale, Selleck is settling back into his life with his family, including his wife, Jillie Mack, and their daughter, Hannah Selleck. Just days after the series concluded, the family came together to celebrate Hannah’s 36th birthday on December 16. While Hannah, a professional show jumper and champion equestrian, kept her celebrations private, it’s likely she enjoyed a quiet celebration with her parents at their sprawling 65-acre ranch in California.

The Sellecks’ ranch, which is known for its avocado harvest, serves as a peaceful retreat from their busy work schedules. While Tom filmed Blue Bloods primarily in New York, the family’s ranch has become a sanctuary for them, especially for Hannah, whose equestrian tournaments keep her close to home. Tom has shared that, although they harvest avocados each year, he’s not particularly fond of the fruit. In a humorous moment, he recalled a time when David Letterman made him eat an avocado, which he described as a gag-worthy experience. “I’m not much of a vegetable guy,” he admitted. “I was a very fussy eater as a kid.”

As the holidays approach, Tom explained that the essence of a Selleck Christmas is family togetherness. Despite his simple, childhood diet, he values the closeness that family time brings during the festive season.
