Clint Eastwood and his family are mourning the loss of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, who passed away from a heart attack at the age of 61 on July 18. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Clintβs daughter, Kimber Lynn Eastwood, opened up about the familyβs initial struggles following the tragic loss.
βThereβs a different vibe when someone close to you passes away,β Kimber shared, noting that they are gradually learning to cope with the grief.
Clint, 94, and Sandera had been together since 2014 after meeting at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant, where she worked as a hostess. Remembering her fondly, the Oscar-winning actor described Sandera as βa lovely, caring womanβ who will be deeply missed.
Kimber also touched on her fatherβs role as a grandfather, highlighting how much he cherishes his grandchildren and has become more settled with age.
Several of Clintβs children have paid tribute to Sandera. His daughter Morgan, 27, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, calling Sanderaβs passing βa devastating loss.β Meanwhile, his son Scott Eastwood expressed gratitude for the support theyβve received, noting in a recent interview that the family is doing okay.
Though Clint and Sandera maintained a low profile, she often accompanied him to Hollywood events, with their last red carpet appearance being at AFI Fest in November 2019.
