Donnie Wahlberg’s Heartfelt Tribute to Fans Amid Blue Bloods Final Season
Donnie Wahlberg recently took to social media to express his deep appreciation for his fans, thanking them for their unwavering support throughout his career.
Sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram, the Blue Bloods star posted a carousel of photos, including behind-the-scenes moments from the CBS drama and snapshots from his time performing with New Kids on the Block.
“I woke up thinking of sending some Monday Motivation to you all. Then I took a moment to reflect on how much you all constantly motivate me,” the 55-year-old actor and singer wrote.
“So, I wanted to say thanks to you instead. You all are not just my Monday Motivation! You are my Monday through Sunday Motivation. My 12 months a year motivation. My 365 days a year motivation! My keep working on zero sleep motivation. My no task is too great motivation.”
Wahlberg continued, emphasizing his gratitude for the journey he has had:
“I’m blessed to have a career that I could have only dreamed of when I was younger, but I’m even more blessed to have you—the greatest fans ever. I may be one of the guys on stage or the guy on TV, but without you, there is no me.”
He closed the message with a touching sentiment:
“Thank you for your continued faith, belief, and love! Your joy will always be my joy. Love you eternally.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise and appreciation. One follower wrote, “Thank you for all you do, Donnie! We see all your efforts and we don’t take them for granted,” while another added, “Everyone needs a Donnie in their lives! We’re the lucky ones.”
Blue Bloods Nears Its Final Chapter
Wahlberg’s post comes as Blue Bloods enters its final season on CBS. The long-running police drama, which also stars Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan, was officially canceled earlier this year, with CBS confirming that season 14 would be the last. The network’s Entertainment President, Amy Reisenbach, cited the need to “refresh the schedule,” setting the show’s final episodes to air through December 2024.
While fans are saddened by the show’s end, there’s growing speculation about a potential Blue Bloods spin-off. Actress Abigail Hawk, who portrays Abigail Baker, has expressed openness to the idea, telling HELLO! that although she’s still “grieving” the show’s conclusion, her character’s story remains “wide open.”
“I don’t want to spin off right now—this is very fresh for me, and I’m still grieving because we all wanted to continue,” Hawk admitted. “We felt that there was so much more we could continue telling and sharing, but I do think there are certain characters that could continue to have quite an amazing and interesting life beyond the Reagans. I think Abigail Baker is one of them. She’s this woman of mystery, and there’s so much that we could just uncover and pull out of her.”
As Blue Bloods prepares to say goodbye, fans remain hopeful that its legacy—and some of its most beloved characters—will live on in new and exciting ways.
