Top Neurologist Warns Biden May Have Vascular Dementia

A leading neurologist has responded to media speculation about President Joe Biden potentially having Parkinson’s disease, instead pointing to vascular dementia as a more likely concern. He stressed the importance of a thorough neurological evaluation — including an MRI — to either confirm or rule out the condition.

Citing Biden’s medical history, which includes atrial fibrillation and two past brain aneurysms, the expert noted that these factors could increase the risk of vascular dementia. He also rejected the idea of Parkinson’s disease, stating that Biden does not exhibit hallmark symptoms such as a shuffling gait, resting tremors, or muscle rigidity.

Dr. Russell Surasky recommended a detailed neurological assessment focusing on both motor function and memory, emphasizing that brain imaging would be essential for a proper diagnosis.
