Chuck Norris has shared heartbreaking news: his mother, Wilma Norris Knight, has passed away at the age of 103. The 84-year-old Walker, Texas Ranger star announced her death on Instagram, revealing she died peacefully on Wednesday morning.
βMom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected Godβs grace,β Norris once said. He often credited her as a source of strength, joy, and safety while growing up, praising her generosity and compassion.
Born on May 24, 1921, in Wilson, Oklahoma, Wilma endured a difficult childhood. Raised in poverty, she became a ward of the state at just 8 years old and spent two years in a childrenβs hospital battling a rare illness. At 16, she married Ray Norris and had three sons. After their divorce, she raised the boys on her own, moving the family from Oklahoma to Kansas and later to California.
In 2011, Wilma released her autobiography, Acts of Kindness: My Story, where she shared her life journey and the challenges of raising Chuck and his brothers.
Expressing deep gratitude for her impact, Chuck said, βI wouldnβt be the man I am today without her.β He ended his tribute with heartfelt words: βWe love you, Momβ¦ until we meet again.β
