Local Boston Businesses Celebrate โBoston Blueโ with CBSโ โWelcome to Bostonโ Event
BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) โ Ahead of the premiere of CBSโ Blue Bloods spinoff, Boston Blue, starring Dorchester native Donnie Wahlberg, local businesses teamed up with the network on Monday to celebrate the show.
Set in Boston, Boston Blue follows Detective Danny Reagan (Wahlberg) as he transitions from the NYPD to the Boston Police Department.
As part of the โWelcome to Bostonโ promotion, CBS invited local content creators to a Duck Boat tour highlighting various Boston Blue filming locations. The tour, led by Creedence Commonwealth, included stops at some of the cityโs historic sites.
While passing the Granary Burying Ground, Commonwealth described a scene in which Danny chases a suspect through the old cemetery. The tour also included a view of Bostonโs Old City Hall, tying in iconic landmarks with the showโs storyline.
The event wrapped up with a visit to View Bostonโs observation deck and a celebration at the Sam Adams Tap Room.
Boston Blue is set to debut on CBS Friday night.
