Blue Bloodsโ Final Season and Potential Spin-Offs: Whatโs Next?
After an impressive 14-season run, CBSโs hit police drama Blue Bloods is coming to an end. Following a five-month hiatus, the show has returned for its final eight episodes, leading fans to speculate about possible sequels or spin-offs.
In an interview with TV Insider, series star Donnie Wahlberg shared his enthusiasm for continuing the Blue Bloods legacy. Reflecting on the showโs success, he expressed gratitude for the dedicated fanbase and addressed the potential for future projects.
โThereโs been a lot of talk about spin-offsโprequels, sequels, you name it,โ Wahlberg said. โFor me, whatever comes next, if it carries the spirit of Blue Bloods and the care we put into it every week, Iโd love to be a part of itโwhether as a viewer or an actor.โ
Cast Members Open to Returning
While Wahlberg is open to revisiting his role as Danny Reagan under the right circumstances, he reminded fans to first enjoy Blue Bloodsโ final season. โIโm looking forward to watching these last episodes with our incredible fans and tweeting along every Friday night,โ he said. โAfter that, weโll see what happens.โ
Tom Selleck, who portrays Commissioner Frank Reagan, also hinted at his willingness to continue. Speaking to TV Insider, he stated, โAs long as the phone doesnโt stop ringing, Iโll keep playing Frank Reagan.โ
Titled End of the Tour, the Blue Bloods series finale is set to air on November 29. The main cast includes Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Len Cariou.
