Brazilian Child Star Millena Brandรฃo Dies at 11 After Mysterious Health Crisis
Millena Brandรฃo, an 11-year-old Brazilian actress and model known for her roles in The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet and Netflixโs Sintonia, has tragically passed away following a series of cardiac arrests.
The young star died on May 2 at Grajaรบ General Hospital in Sรฃo Paulo. According to her mother, Thays Brandรฃo, Millena began experiencing troubling symptomsโheadaches, leg pain, fatigue, and loss of appetiteโon April 24. Five days later, she fainted after dinner and was rushed to urgent care. Doctors initially suspected dengue fever, but further testing revealed a brain tumor.
Millenaโs condition worsened rapidly. Though conscious at first, she suffered between 13 and 21 cardiac arrests over two days. โHer lip turned purple. Then they resuscitated her and intubated her. From that day on, she never woke up again,โ her mother told Brazilian outlet G1.
Her family announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram, where Millena had over 196,000 followers. โYou were the light in our livesโฆ Iโll love you forever,โ her mother wrote.
The exact cause of death remains unknown. โThe doctors still havenโt said what really happened,โ her mother added.
