Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleckโs Blue Bloods co-star, recently shared a photo on Twitter showing Selleckโs restaurant bill with a notably large tip, sparking buzz among fans.
Nearly six months after Blue Bloods aired its series finale, fans still arenโt quite ready to let go of the beloved procedural drama. The show wrapped after 14 successful seasons on CBS, and while the upcoming spin-off, Boston Blue, offers something new to look forward to, it wonโt quite replace the original. In the meantime, many fans have started rewatching Blue Bloods, helping the series climb back into Paramount+โs top 10 streaming list, where it currently sits at number 10. This resurgence is impressive, given the show ended its run years agoโit first premiered in 2010โhighlighting the dedication of its loyal audience.
Over its 14-year run, CBS aired 293 episodes of Blue Bloods, anchored by a core cast that appeared in every installment. Leading the pack was Donnie Wahlberg, who portrayed Danny Reagan in all 293 episodes. Wahlberg is set to reprise this role in Boston Blue, alongside stars such as Ernie Hudson, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Maggie Lawson. Also appearing in every episode of Blue Bloods were Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan-Boyle and Will Estes as Jamie Reagan. Len Cariou and Tom Selleck portrayed Henry and Frank Reagan, respectively, starring in every episode, while Andrew Terracianoโs Sean Reagan missed just one episode. Beyond being a gripping police procedural set in New York City, Blue Bloods deeply explored how the Reagan family navigates the personal and professional challenges of law enforcement life.
CBS has yet to announce an exact premiere date for Boston Blue but confirmed the show will debut before the end of the year. New episodes will air Fridays at 10 p.m. EST on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+ the following day. Aside from his work on Blue Bloods and Boston Blue, Donnie Wahlberg is known for roles such as Cubby Barnes in Ransom and Vincent Gray in The Sixth Sense.
