Tom Selleck admits that not seeing his Blue Bloods co-stars every day is βgoing to take a lot of getting used to.β
Itβs been nearly two weeks since the show wrapped after 14 successful seasons, and Selleck, who played New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, reflects on saying goodbye to his on-screen family. βThe hardest part for me is we had the Blue Bloods family, and we had the actorsβ family,β he shared with Parade. βTheyβre all my pals. I miss them.β
Selleck has been candid about his desire for the series to continue and expressed disappointment when CBS announced its cancellation. While heβs open to the idea of a potential spinoff, discussions seem to have stalled for now.
The finale, which aired on December 13, gave each Reagan a happy ending, despite the emotional weight of losing Eddieβs partner, Badillo, in intense final scenes. The last family dinner featured special guests and joyful news, including Jamie and Eddie’s pregnancy announcement.
With the show officially over, fans will have to adjust to the absence of new episodes, but they can always revisit the 14 seasons streaming on Paramount+. Although the cast may hold reunion gatherings in the future, saying goodbye to the Reagans is still bittersweet.
