Baby Driver’ Star Hudson Joseph Meek, 16, Dies in Tragic Accident!

Hudson Joseph Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his role as Young Baby in Baby Driver, tragically passed away on December 21, just two days after suffering fatal injuries from falling out of a moving car in his hometown of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

His mother, Lani Wells Meek, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, saying, β€œHudson’s 16 years were far too short, but he impacted everyone he met.” Hudson’s obituary described him as a beloved son, organ donor, and a young man with deep faith, who passed away surrounded by his family and friends.

Hudson, whose talent extended beyond acting, also appeared in MacGyver and contributed his voice to campaigns for major brands like Toys R Us, McDonald’s, and League of Legends. Despite his young age, he had a bright future ahead, with several upcoming projects set for release in 2025.

As a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, Hudson excelled academically and was involved in football, Honor Choir, and Student Government. By 14, he had become a licensed scuba diver and had traveled to all 50 states in the U.S.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 30 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, with a livestream available on Instagram and Facebook. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship, which will provide annual support to a Vestavia Hills High School student.

Hudson is survived by his mother, father, brother, and extended family. His vibrant personality, passion, and achievements will leave a lasting legacy.
