NCIS Origins Brings Back Fan-Favorite Actor for Season 2!

NCIS: Origins is diving deep into the history of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, exploring his early days with the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) and shedding light on his original team, including Agent Vera Strickland. The show’s co-showrunner revealed that there are big plans for Strickland’s character after the season break, adding excitement for her future role.

Fans were thrilled when Mark Harmon made a surprise return as Gibbs in the NCIS: Origins premiere, revisiting his younger years alongside Austin Stowell, who plays a younger version of Gibbs. Familiar faces, like Kyle Schmid as Mike Franks, will also make an appearance.

Actress Diany Rodriguez joins the cast as Agent Vera Strickland, a character who made a brief appearance in NCIS season 11. Rodriguez, who previously appeared as Agent Garcia in NCIS: New Orleans, will take on a more significant role in the prequel. Despite Strickland’s initial limited presence, executive producer David North explained that she was essential to the storyline, offering fans a deeper look at Gibbs’ early career.

With NCIS: Origins expanding the NCIS universe, it promises plenty of surprises and deeper connections for longtime fans.
